In this engaging area-control game, players act as competing carpet merchants aiming to display their woven rugs across the central market square while building the largest fortune. On each turn, players direct Assam—the wooden market organizer—by choosing his orientation and rolling the wooden slipper die to advance him across the board. If Assam stops on an opponent’s carpet, you must pay them coin dirhams based on the total connected size of their rug area. Players then lay down one of their own real fabric rugs adjacent to Assam, strategically expanding their domain or covering competitors' tiles. Designed for 2 to 4 players aged 8 and up, Marrakech offers quick 20-minute gameplay filled with clever positioning, tactical risk management, and high replayability.
